 Most of the petrochemical products are flammable and hazardous, to ensure production, operator and neighborhood's safety is the first and major task for DCC's operation. Besides complying government's regulation, DCC practice environmental and safety issues through its safety guideline, education, security check, risk evaluation, and improvement review.
 Environmental friendly is as important as product quality to DCC. The anti-pollution and environmental protection is always a key issue to DCC during its process design and plant operation. Energy saving and waste recycling is another important task in the environmental friendly issue.
In 1996, DCC promoted ISO-14001 Environment Management System at Kaohsiung Ta-She Factory and was qualified in 1997.
In 2001, DCC started to promote OHSAS-18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and then combined with its Quality and Environment Programs as 3 in 1 system which was qualified by DNV in 2002.
 
DCC's Environment, Safety and Health Statements comply with all regulatory aspects related to the safety, health & environment.:
  • Compliance with all ESH & Energy applicable laws and regulations as well as the commitments to the stakeholders.
  • Preventing accidents and pollution by controlling the hazards and developing the effective emergency response plans.
  • Taking every opportunity to improve our management system and the process which reduces the pollution, the risk of safety and health and striving for energy saving. To fully utilize resource, recycling and reuse of water being especially important. Expecting to build an eco-friendly environment and a circular economy system based on green technology.
  • Enhancing workers and stakeholders' cognition on ESH & Energy, and providing adequate way for participation and consultation.
  • Increasing management performance through setting quantitative target and regularly review and improve.
  • Utilizing technologies and management system to protect employees from illness, to prevent environmental impact and to increase energy efficiency.
  • Supporting design, procurement and activities which reduce environmental impact and improve energy performance.
  • Properly disclosing products information and evaluating ESH risk of customers.
